West Florida Teen Challenge Boy’s Ranch

To God is all the “Glow”ry.
Jenny and I thank God every day for giving us the opportunity to serve at the places we do.
Again, April’s project at Teen Challenge, proved to be an absolute thrill to be there and be involved in helping this incredible ministry in our small way.  TC is a place for boys from ages of 11-17 that have pretty much burned all their bridges to get help to build a new life centered in Jesus Christ.

Here is pictorial account of some of the things we witnessed and did.

They have a “Parent’s Visit” once every month when the boys that are well into the program are able to get a visit from the parents.  We heard the testimonies and witnessed the baptisms of six of the boys on the first weekend we were at the academy.

We were priviledged to witness the “Graduation” of six young men from the 15 month program.

Every Friday the students gather in formation in platoons, Isaac and Jacob.  This is when they are individually recognized for achievements of special goals and assignments.  If there has been any violations, those are acknowledged also and those boys are placed in a “Corrections” status and are prayed over at that time.

Roger spent time clearing trees and shrubs to make for more pasture land for the horses and cows at the ranch.

Break time from drywall work.  We did a whole LOT of drywall finishing in the new “Blue” building.  It was a great privilege to be able to work side by side with the boys and hear their stories and share our testimonies with them.

Jenny and I spent several days and considerable overtime priming and painting the gymnasium in the “Blue” building.  Roger and Marilyn and Carl helped with this task also.

The SOWERS had the chance to see the boys play some great baseball.  They won all their games while we were there.  Another chance to support the boys and have some fun off-time.

This the SOWER crew we worked with at Teen Challenge Boy’s Ranch of West Florida.  Left to right:  Carl and Corrine from Iowa,  Jenny and I, and Roger and Marilyn from Wisconsin.

The ‘Blue” building in the background is where we spent most of our time working.  It is a 32,000 Sq.Ft. building that houses the gym, chapel/worship center, offices, parent training and counseling, classrooms, and other.  All work in finishing out this wonderful building is being done by volunteers only.

Thank you, all for your interest and your support.

God bless you and yours.
